Political comments

watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8x14cLGh5o

My combined comments on the message board following the video:

I want to give my appreciation for the comments that actually give some backing to their like/dislike. The rest of your are idiots. On that note, if I bash you, it's because I respect you. The heavy editing is for aesthetic reasons and if you couldn't tell, her articulation was difficult for her so a number of takes helps to get the clearest pieces. And like the blurb states: this is an actress playing a fictitious character. It is an official statement for all of you to read, much common to the statements "This studio nor an of its affiliates believe in these comments..." It's a disclaimer. Appreciate the film for what it is or have a political discussion. It's aesthetically pleasing, beautiful edits, thought-provoking script (or else why are all of you commenting), and a talented, charming actress. Politically speaking: This issue does involve children because their right to play video games or listen to the music they enjoy is at stake. There is no "indoctrination" here unless you call handing a child a psalm and making them memorize and read it back indoctrination, oh right, that's what we were saying when we said you guys were brainwashing children. Ok, so I admit, you're not brainwashing them, but your heavy arguments against opening them up to any other form of thought kinda makes us suspicious. She sounded intelligent. Oh, I'm sorry, is 8 too young to be intelligent? Should she go back to babbling like a baby? Or would you rather have her rummaging through her mother's/older sister's makeup?

You can only be empathetic to so many people at one time. She's an actress, she's empathizing with the filmmaker by being apart of the piece. In the video: she's asking for adults to be empathetic to children. Ok, now it's your turn. I'm sorry we hate O'reilly's views. But the fact that a filmmaker and all these ppl are commenting means we did hear what he had to say and now are intelligently criticizing it. A society needs to be critical of anyone with power, it gets carried too fast.

I like it. I think it is amazing you have discussion like this with your child, I only wish I will stay informed enough to do the same. It is easier for opposers to stomach your view when you acknowledge first, I hear that a million times, but I'm way to passionate to go through the proper steps, I just want to discuss, I want the talk to be heated! Course, hard to have ppl enjoy talking to you as much as you enjoy talking to them.

I'd be careful saying all religions, try the eastern religions as well as polytheism. The expansionist nature of Christianity as well as other religions which I will leave unnamed leaves a mark on society, but look into the history of all religions and all Churches as well, if you gonna argue yours is the best, or so my interpretation of that last statement was...

This video is terrible. Religion is the answer... radical religion is not.

What about philosophy? Meditation? Existentialism? Not good answers to the question of life? Religion's doing alright in that respect but not perfect. There are plenty of answers, open up to taking them all. Oh, and I hate radicals too, all kinds of them.
